Product Manager at Zolve

2022 - 2024 Bengaluru, India Product Manager, Cross-border Fintech

About Zolve

Zolve gives people moving to a new country access to credit cards and bank accounts from day one, before they have any local credit history. It's a genuinely hard problem: the user is mid-move, stressed, and juggling paperwork, and the product has to satisfy regulators in two countries at once.

What I worked on

I spent two years on the journeys where all of that collides: onboarding, KYC, and getting someone from signup to a working account fast enough that they don't give up halfway.

That meant shipping funnel improvements across multi-step identity and compliance flows, working with risk and compliance to launch features that held up under both US and India regulations, and making experimentation routine so the roadmap followed what users actually did rather than what we assumed.

What stayed with me

  • Regulation isn't the enemy of good UX. Vague regulation is. Precise constraints make design decisions easier, not harder.
  • In a funnel where users are stressed, every field you remove is worth more than any feature you add.
  • Two-country compliance taught me to write specs where the edge cases are the spec.
